Job summary

Sainsbury’s is hiring a Customer Delivery Driver to deliver groceries to customers’ doorsteps with energy, warmth and care. You’ll represent the brand at every doorstep and ensure orders arrive on time and in great condition.

You’ll drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, perform vehicle checks, follow planned routes and communicate with customers about delays or changes to orders. Occasional store support may be required.

Qualifications

• Friendly and welcoming with enthusiasm for helping customers.
• Comfortable driving a larger vehicle safely in various locations.
• Able to use initiative and make safe decisions on the road.
• Flexible and willing to help across the store when needed.

Responsibilities

• Being the face of Sainsbury’s at every doorstep you deliver to and making customers feel valued.
• Driving a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries on time and in good condition.
• Carrying out checks to ensure the van is roadworthy and goods are secure.
• Following planned routes and driving safely in varying traffic and weather.
• Communicating with customers, addressing queries, and updating on delays.
• When not delivering, you may help across the store as needed.
