Job summary

Sainsbury's is looking for a Customer Delivery Driver to bring online orders straight to customers’ doors with a warm, reliable delivery service.

You will drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, perform safety checks, and follow planned routes to ensure orders arrive on time and in great condition. When not delivering, you may help across the store to support customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 and hold a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points
• Right to Work in the UK
• Ability to lift and move shopping containers up to 15kg
• Comfortable driving a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van and following planned routes

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Sainsbury’s at customer doorstep deliveries with a friendly, helpful service
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries on time and in good condition
• Carry out vehicle checks, keep the vehicle clean and organised, and ensure shopping is secure before departure
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in varying conditions
• Assist with store duties when not delivering and communicate with customers about delays or changes
