Job summary

Sainsbury’s is hiring a Customer Delivery Driver in the United Kingdom to bring groceries to customers’ doorsteps with warmth and reliability. You will drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, check roadworthiness, and ensure orders arrive on time and in great condition.

You’ll follow planned routes, handle containers up to 15kg, and communicate any delays to customers. When not delivering, you may help across the store, contributing to a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Qualifications

• Must be friendly with a genuine enthusiasm for helping customers.
• Comfortable driving a larger vehicle in urban and rural locations.
• Ability to move 15kg shopping containers safely.

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries to customers’ doorsteps in a timely, friendly manner.
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van and ensure orders arrive in great condition.
• Check van roadworthiness, cleanliness and order in the vehicle before departure.
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in varying traffic and weather.
• Assist across the store when not out delivering to help the team.
