Job summary

Sainsbury’s Group is looking for a Customer Delivery Driver to deliver groceries to customers’ doorsteps in a friendly, helpful manner. You will drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, complete safety checks, and follow planned routes to ensure on-time delivery.

You will communicate with customers about delays, work a flexible schedule and may assist in-store when needed. A full UK driving licence is required for 12 months with ≤6 points.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 and hold a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points.
• Right to Work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Sainsbury's at doorstep delivering to customers with friendly, helpful service.
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries on time and in good condition.
• Carry out van checks to ensure roadworthiness and cleanliness, secure customer shopping.
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in varying locations and conditions.
• Move containers up to 15kg and deliver to various properties, including stairs or lifts.
• Communicate with customers about delays or changes to orders.
