Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring groceries to customers’ doors across the UK. You will drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, perform basic vehicle checks and ensure on-time, careful deliveries while maintaining friendly customer service.

Applicants must be over 18, hold a full UK driving licence for 12+ months with ≤6 points, and complete a driving risk assessment as part of the interview process. Right to Work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 and hold a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points
• Complete online driving risk assessment as part of interview; driving assessment on joining if successful
• Right to Work eligibility in the UK

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Sainsbury’s at every doorstep you deliver to, providing a friendly and helpful delivery service
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries on time and in good condition
• Carry out pre-journey van checks to ensure roadworthiness, cleanliness and secure shopping
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in varying locations, traffic and weather
• Move containers up to 15kg and deliver to properties with steps, lifts or longer walks
• Communicate effectively with customers about delays or changes to orders and assist with queries
• When not delivering, assist across the store as needed
