Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring online orders straight to customers’ doorsteps with energy, warmth and care. You will drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, ensure van readiness, and keep customers informed of any delays while maintaining high service standards.

Ideal candidates enjoy helping customers, can navigate varied locations, and are willing to work across the store when not out delivering groceries. Training and support are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old with full UK/EU driving licence for 12+ months
• Max 6 points on licence
• Right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Sainsbury’s at every doorstep you deliver to, providing a thoughtful, friendly and helpful service
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries on time and in good condition
• Carry out pre-drive checks to ensure van is roadworthy, clean and organized
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in varying locations and conditions
• Move containers up to 15kg and deliver to various properties, including steps and lifts
• Communicate with customers about delays or changes to orders; handle queries
• When not delivering, assist across the store as needed
