Job summary

Sainsbury’s Group are seeking Customer Delivery Drivers to deliver groceries directly to customers’ doors with reliability and a friendly service. You will drive a refrigerated van, ensuring timely arrivals and proper handling of orders.

In this role you’ll follow routes, maintain vehicle safety, and engage with customers to resolve queries while supporting store operations as needed. A strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 and hold a full UK/EU driving licence for 12+ months with no more than 6 points.
• Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
• Willing to complete an online driving risk assessment and a driving assessment if successful.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Sainsbury's at every doorstep, delivering with care and courtesy.
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries on time and in good condition.
• Perform checks to ensure van road-worthiness, cleanliness and secure loading.
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in varying conditions and locations.
• Move shopping containers up to 15kg and deliver to different properties, including stairs or lifts.
• Communicate with customers and update them on delays or changes.
