Sainsbury’s is hiring a Customer Delivery Driver to represent the brand at customers’ doors, delivering groceries in a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van with care and speed.

You’ll follow planned routes, perform basic vehicle checks, and communicate clearly with customers about delays or changes, while helping in-store when needed. This role combines driving and frontline customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Friendly and welcoming with enthusiasm for helping customers.
• Comfortable driving a larger vehicle safely in different locations.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, physical environment moving loads up to 15kg.
• Able to use initiative, solve problems and make safe road decisions.
• Enjoys working independently while also thriving as part of the store team.
• Flexible and willing to work across the store.
• Open to learning and using route and delivery technology.

Responsibilities

• Being the face of Sainsbury’s at every doorstep you deliver to.
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries on time.
• Complete checks to ensure van roadworthiness and security of orders.
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in various conditions.
• Move containers weighing up to 15kg and deliver to diverse properties.
• Communicate with customers about delays or changes to orders.
• Assist in-store duties when not out delivering.
