Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring groceries to customers’ doorsteps with energy and care. You’ll represent the brand on every delivery, ensuring orders arrive on time and in great condition.

In this role you’ll drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, perform routine safety checks, and navigate routes effectively while keeping customers informed of any changes. There is also potential to assist in-store when not delivering.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and have held a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points
• Right to Work in the UK
• You will complete an online driving risk assessment as part of the interview and a driving assessment when you join

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Sainsbury’s at every doorstep, delivering with care and friendliness
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries on time and in good condition
• Carry out safety checks on the van and ensure shopping is secure before departure
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in varied locations and conditions
• Move containers up to 15 kg and deliver to a range of properties including steps or lifts
• Communicate clearly with customers and handle delays or queries
• Assist in-store duties when not out on deliveries
