Job summary

Hitachi Energy is recruiting a Sales Specialist for its Grid Integration team in Birmingham. You will drive growth across T&D, renewables, data centre, and transport segments by introducing Gas GIS, Hybrid and AIS solutions, engaging early in project lifecycles.

You will combine electrical expertise with commercial acumen to build relationships, influence specifications, and secure key opportunities at the utility, industrial and partner levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in technical sales in power transmission and distribution.
• Strong knowledge of electrical grid infrastructure, substations, and transmission and distribution systems.
• Experience with Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) products and solutions.
• High Voltage (HV) 400KV–132KV and MV 66KV–11KV knowledge and industrial substation experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales growth for Grid Integration solutions within T&D, Data Centre, Renewables, Industrial and Transport segments.
• Lead the upfront selling of solutions, engaging utilities, EPCs, consultants and other stakeholders.
• Promote and sell GIS, Gas, Hybrid & Air Insulated solutions and broader substation technologies.
• Develop and execute account plans for utilities and industrial customers.
• Identify market opportunities and create strategies to increase market share and profitability.
