Job summary

Reed Education is seeking enthusiastic, caring graduates to join a primary-age specialist provision as a Full-Time Teaching Assistant, starting after May Half term. You will support primary pupils with additional learning needs and SEMH, helping them build confidence and essential literacy, numeracy and social skills.

No school experience is required—training and ongoing support are provided, with a clear pathway into teaching or related roles.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
• Creativity and confidence engaging young children.

Responsibilities

• Support children aged 4-11 across core subjects and activities.
• Provide both 1:1 support and group-based intervention.
• Help children develop early literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
• Assist with emotional regulation and behaviour support.
• Encourage positive routines, social skills and independence.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to meet individual needs.
• Create a warm, nurturing, and structured learning environment.
