Job summary

Babcock invites applications for its Systems Engineering Graduate Programme in Rosyth, Scotland. Over two years, you’ll rotate through placements every three to six months, applying systems thinking to complex naval projects and gaining exposure across the lifecycle.

You’ll receive structured training, mentorship and support toward Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, with opportunities to collaborate across disciplines and locations, building a strong professional network.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be on track to achieve a STEM degree (Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Math, Physics, Chemistry, AI, ML, Robotics, Cybernetics).
• Security clearance: BPSS and Security Check (SC) may be required to participate in this programme.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through placements every 3–6 months to gain diverse project exposure.
• Support across the engineering lifecycle from concept through to decommissioning and delivery.
• Develop stakeholder engagement, manage interfaces and ensure requirements are met across multidisciplinary teams.

BEng, MEng, BSc or MSc in a STEM discipline
