Job summary

Babcock invites applications for the Systems Engineering Graduate Programme in Plymouth, UK. You will rotate across a range of projects, applying systems thinking to submarine, naval ship, and nuclear infrastructure programmes.

The role covers design, integration, testing and lifecycle support within a structured graduate development plan. Expect a two-year rotational programme with mentorship, practical experience and professional registration support.

Qualifications

• Degree in a STEM discipline (Engineering, IT, Math, Physics, etc.).
• Eligibility to obtain BPSS and SC security clearance.
• UK national or eligible to work in the UK at start of programme.

Responsibilities

• Support the full systems engineering lifecycle from concept to decommissioning.
• Rotate through placements every 3–6 months across projects and teams.
• Collaborate with engineering design, software, mechanical, construction and electrical teams.
• Develop stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation and interface management skills.
