Job summary

WSP is recruiting graduates to join our Roads team in 2027. You will work on schemes that connect communities through safe, sustainable transport networks, within multidisciplinary teams across major highways and active travel projects.

You will gain hands‑on design, calculations and data analysis, attend site visits, engage with clients and stakeholders, and contribute practical solutions while developing professionally through our Graduate Development Programme.

Qualifications

• 2:2 in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Starting in April or September 2027.
• Interest in road and highway infrastructure, transport networks and improving connectivity for communities.
• Curious, collaborative and motivated to solve engineering challenges.
• Willing to learn from different specialists and take ownership of work.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to projects that keep people and communities connected through safe, efficient transport networks.
• Assist highway design, produce technical drawings and calculations, and use industry‑standard software.
• Analyze traffic and transport data and engage with clients and stakeholders.
• Attend site visits and help develop practical solutions to engineering challenges.
• Work within multidisciplinary teams and learn from experienced engineers and specialists.
