Job summary

AECOM is seeking graduates for our GDP in project management and civil engineering. You’ll contribute to planning, delivery and monitoring of railway infrastructure, working with multidisciplinary teams across the UK.

Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office and mentoring are part of the programme. The programme offers hands-on client projects, chartership targets, and exposure to governance, schedules and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Management or a related discipline with a 2:1 (or equivalent).
• Masters qualification in a relevant discipline would be advantageous.
• Interest in infrastructure project delivery and rail transportation.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the planning, delivery and monitoring of railway infrastructure projects.
• Assisting project managers with programme management, cost control and risk management activities.
• Supporting stakeholder engagement and client communications.
• Assisting with project reporting, governance and performance tracking.
• Contributing to the development of project plans, schedules and resource forecasts.
• Supporting multidisciplinary teams in delivering projects safely, efficiently and sustainably.
• Assisting with contract administration and project documentation.
• Developing an understanding of project controls, commercial management and rail delivery processes.
