Job summary

AECOM is seeking graduates to join its Railway Engineering Graduate Development Programme in the UK. You will work on complex rail projects, using BIM and industry software while learning from mentors and technical experts.

The role focuses on safety, sustainability, and collaboration with clients and partners. Successful candidates will have a strong civil engineering foundation, good communication, and a drive to contribute to major rail initiatives, including urban and inter-city mobility

Qualifications

• BEng in Civil Engineering with 2:1 or equivalent.
• MEng in Civil Engineering with 2:1 is an advantage.
• Rail modules would be beneficial.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Join the Graduate Development Programme and grow in a supportive environment.
• Apply BIM modelling and industry software on rail projects.
• Integrate designs across signalling, permanent way, and civils.
• Plan construction phasing to minimise passenger disruption.
• Develop safe, buildable, and maintainable rail designs.
• Contribute to station design and urban realm improvements.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and sub-contractors.
