Job summary

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in civil/structural engineering.
• Some experience in a structural or civil engineering consultancy.

• Understanding of health and safety responsibilities in engineering design.

Responsibilities

• Undertake civil and structural engineering calculations, analysis and design.
• Contribute to conceptual and feasibility designs for a range of projects.
• Liaise with architects, clients, contractors, manufacturers and other project stakeholders.
• Attend site visits and inspections as required.
• Support project administration, workload planning and financial performance monitoring.
• Develop technical skills and maintain commitment to CPD.
• Work towards or continue to develop chartered status with ICE or IStructE.
• Contribute to wider business activities, including client relationships and business development.

The Role

As a Structural Engineer, you will contribute to the delivery of civil and structural engineering projects, undertaking design calculations, developing practical engineering solutions and working closely with colleagues, clients and other project stakeholders.

You will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects, develop your technical expertise and work towards professional accreditation, with support from experienced engineers and senior management.
