Job summary

Mott MacDonald is hiring a Graduate Process Engineer in the UK (Leicester) to help design practical solutions for a low-carbon energy system. You’ll work with experienced colleagues, receive mentorship, and join Accelerating your Future, a three-year early careers soft-skills development programme.

You will be eligible for security clearance and expected to complete a master’s degree around 2025. The role offers hybrid working arrangements across the UK and opportunities to engage in advisory

Qualifications

• Masters degree in relevant engineering discipline with eligibility to complete by 2025+
• Security clearance eligibility required (UK national or 5 years UK residency)
• Ambition to contribute to energy transition projects and advisory work

Responsibilities

• Develop process designs including flow diagrams, heat and material balances, and equipment specifications
• Contribute to feasibility studies, FEED for energy transition projects
• Support heat exchanger sizing and energy efficiency assessments
• Collaborate across disciplines to deliver integrated solutions for hydrogen, CCUS and low-carbon fuels
• Engage in techno-economic evaluations and strategic assessments
