Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a graduate process engineer to work across live water, energy and environment projects in the UK. You will join a large multidisciplinary design team and gain hands-on experience from day one.

You will evaluate process designs, support EC proposals, and interface with suppliers while contributing to commissioning and handover activities. A strong focus on health, safety and reporting is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduated or due to graduate with a degree in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering (BEng) or, a post graduate qualification (MSc)
• Excellent verbal communication skills, which allow you to confidently liaise with clients and team members
• Good IT skills and familiarity with programmes such as Excel, Word, 3D Models and BIM
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail, and be able to demonstrate accurate technical drawings and good report writing
• Methodical approach to problem solving

Responsibilities

• Evaluate process engineering design, including process calculations, mass/energy balances, process flow diagrams and input to control philosophies.
• Be involved in the Early Contract (EC) to challenge proposals on efficient and sustainable engineering solutions, meeting the requirements of the project scope.
• Proactively engage with the supply chain and produce technical specifications for procuring proprietary process equipment whilst providing process support to the team and wider business.
• Assist with onsite commissioning / handover and develop the commissioning sequences, planning and performance demonstrations.
• Work to the Company’s health and safety, quality and environmental management systems and complying with all guidance, procedures & processes
