Overview

We are looking for ambitious and driven graduates to join our Norwich team to learn, develop and deliver excellence for our clients in the region and nationally.

You will ideally be studying for an RTPI accredited degree, though we also welcome applications from those studying a non-accredited degree who are looking to pursue a career in property.

Responsibilities

The following are the types of day to day responsibilities you will seek to develop:

  • Is proactive with regards to ongoing development of personal technical competence which they can apply to their work
  • Acquires practical knowledge and expertise by learning on the job.
  • Applies standard principles, practices, and techniques to follow established procedures.
  • Plans, schedules, and monitors own work within agreed deadlines.
  • Keeps up to date with current developments within own areas of expertise as well as gaining a wider knowledge of the company.
  • Provides reliable technical / process input on own initiative but able to determine when work should be escalated to a higher level.
  • Liaises and assists other team members who are also developing.
  • Prepares letters, reports and other documents under supervision and/or from standard templates.
  • Carries out site visits.
  • Able to put forward ideas which can help improve the business, by suggesting new ways of working or better use of technology or automation.

Delivering our projects

  • Operates within a defined area of work and provides support to their team as required.
  • Understands the fundamentals of project management and rapport and how this applies to their work and commercial impact of these.
  • Responsible for the completion of specifically assigned tasks to time and cost whilst working within established routines and principles.
  • Drafting planning applications, pre-application enquiries and appeals.
  • Undertaking basic planning appraisals and research
  • Preparation of fee proposals to generate new business.
  • Review of Local Planning Authority (LPA) Local Plans and their stage of production.
  • Assisting clients throughout the planning process.
  • Assisting with community engagement, committee meetings and public examinations.
  • Communicating with all stakeholders involved in the planning process.
