JOB TITLE: Graduate opportunity within Compliance

REPORTS TO: Head of compliance

The Role

As a bright, driven graduate you will start in a compliance administrators’ role and be required to assist with the coordination and monitoring of the Company's Compliance policy and accreditations. The position ensures that the Company and its Contractors comply with the requirements of legislation by monitoring and implementing Compliance and SHEQ functions, including individual competencies and training, and industry accreditations such as ISO and LRQA NERS/GIRS/WIRS. This role requires strong analytical and data skills with the ability to use Excel. This is a new role so you will have the chance to really develop and build an exciting career with this firm.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the application and maintenance of all required Industry accreditations
  • Maintain the employee & relevant sub-contractor competency matrix
  • Administer the supplier and sub-contract services through PQQ’s
  • Assist with PQQ application to potential clients
  • Arrange and coordinate mandatory and technical training for all employees
  • Ensure contractor safety management arrangements are established and implemented
  • Co-ordinate the Authorisation process in alignment with LRQA expectations
  • Promote environmental awareness to employees, subcontractor and all persons in the site vicinity and stress to all employees and visitors the importance senior management places on safe work practices and environmental protection
  • Monitor and interpret regulatory changes affecting the business
  • Assist with responses to regulatory enquiries, including audits and inspections
  • Monitor and verify vehicle licensing status to maintain insurance compliance
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure the integration of compliance requirement into operational processes.
Experience & Qualities

Essential:

  • Degree educated – ideal degrees – Law, STEM, Accounting or similar
  • Skills and work experience that could be transferred from a process driven, accreditation-based field or role
  • Excellent analytical and research skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders
  • Accuracy of work and attention to detail
  • Be methodical in work approaches
  • Professional, helpful attitude and ability to work under pressure
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office and Google applications

Desirable:

  • Experience in utilities and / or construction activities
  • Experience of implementing Health and Safety in a highly technical, complex industrial environment
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001
  • Knowledge of LRQA requirements across NERS, GIRS and WIRS
  • Knowledge of the implementation Competence Authorisation Processes
Hours of Work

Monday – Friday 8:30am – 17:00pm (40 hours per week)

Holidays

25 days holiday + bank holidays as standard, up to 3 extra days holiday for long service – 2 years +1, 5 years +1, 10 years +1, The option to purchase an additional 5 days holiday per year

Salary & Benefits

Up to £28,000.
