Job summary

Automation Experts in the South West of England is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join its technical sales team. You will blend engineering knowledge with commercial awareness to prepare quotations, bids and proposals while learning about the company’s high-tech machinery.

Ideal candidates are mechanical engineering graduates with strong communication skills, an eye for detail and a proactive, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with strong classification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and interest in technical sales.
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive and organized; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quotations, bids, tenders and commercial proposals.
• Review customer requirements and interpret technical specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering and internal departments to develop solutions.
• Support pricing, costing and commercial documentation.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers for technical and commercial information.
• Develop understanding of the company’s machinery, products and markets.
• Assist the sales team in identifying new business opportunities and growth.
• Travel UK and internationally as required.
