Job summary

Hoare Lea in the UK is seeking a 2027 Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our building services teams in Plymouth or Exeter. You will contribute to healthcare, hotels, retail and residential projects, producing detailed designs and using CAD and Revit.

From day one you’ll be exposed to live projects, receive mentoring toward Chartership, and benefit from our 9‑day fortnight, private medical cover and flexible/hybrid working options.

Qualifications

• Two-one (2:1) or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Work on live projects from day one across sectors (healthcare, hotels, retail, residential)
• Produce detailed designs and drawings including HVAC and piping systems
• Use CAD and Revit for modelling and documentation
• Undertake site surveys and evaluate technical constraints
• Research new technologies and maintain CPD
• Communicate with project teams and clients throughout the design process
