Job summary

Hoare Lea is seeking a 2027 Graduate Mechanical Engineer for Plymouth or Exeter. The role offers exposure to healthcare, hotels, retail and residential sectors within one of the UK’s largest building engineering consultancies.

You will work on heating, ventilation, air conditioning and plumbing schemes, using CAD and Revit, with strong training and development support. From day one you will join a multi-disciplinary team, collaborate with clients and project teams, and pursue structured career

Qualifications

• Be on track for or hold a 2.1+ mechanical engineering degree (IMechE/CIBSE accredited)
• Demonstrate strong communication, analytical and organisational abilities
• Able to work in teams and independently
• Ambitious and flexible with initiative and resilience

Responsibilities

• Assist in producing detailed designs and drawings for heating, ventilation and air conditioning and control systems
• Develop plans for above and below ground drainage and hot/cold water services to standard, budget and deadlines
• Use CAD and Revit for modelling and documentation
• Engage in CPD and learning opportunities throughout the graduate programme
