Job summary

Stantec in Cardiff is launching its 2027 Graduate Programme for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer in our Buildings discipline. You will design and coordinate mechanical building services across projects from concept through construction, working with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, BIM specialists and building performance experts.

The programme provides mentoring, CPD opportunities and a clear path to professional registration with CIBSE and the Engineering Council.

Qualifications

• Design and coordinate mechanical building services systems (HVAC, water services) across RIBA Stages 1-6.
• Produce engineering calculations, reports, specifications and drawings with mentor support.
• Attend design team meetings, site visits and client meetings to gain project delivery exposure.
• Ensure deliverables comply with legislation, Building Regulations and Stantec procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support design delivery and coordination with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Assist with preparation of design deliverables and technical documentation.
• Contribute to project meetings and reviews to support quality outcomes.
• Develop professional skills through on-the-job learning and CPD.
