Job summary

Stantec in Cardiff is inviting applications for its 2027 Graduate Programme to become a Graduate Civil Engineer in the Buildings discipline. You will join a team of 17 civil engineers within a 90-strong multidisciplinary office, contributing to drainage design and SuDS across education and other sectors.

You'll work under experienced engineers on calculations, modelling, drawings and reports, attend site visits, and develop technical and professional skills toward ICE/Engineering Council

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in BEng Civil Engineering required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 / Office and AutoCAD beneficial.
• Interest in Buildings sector and developing professional registrations.

Responsibilities

• Support design and assessment of civil engineering solutions with focus on drainage design and SuDS.
• Assist in preparing calculations, modelling, drawings and technical reports under supervision.
• Work with senior engineers to deliver projects across education and other sectors.
• Attend site visits and surveys to gain practical experience.
• Contribute to sustainable, low-carbon infrastructure solutions and coordinated delivery.
• Develop technical, professional and commercial skills through CPD and training.
• Participate in graduate development programme and work toward ICE/Engineering Council registration.
