Job summary

Stantec is offering a 2027 Graduate Programme for a Graduate Electrical Engineer in Cardiff. You’ll join a multidisciplinary Wales MEP team and work on varied projects from concept to construction, mentored by experienced engineers and BIM professionals.

Applicants should have a BEng in Electrical Engineering or Building Services, and be prepared to develop through structured training and professional registration with CIBSE/IET/IMECHE. 4 days per week in the office is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in BEng Electrical Engineering or Building Services is required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 / Office / AutoCAD.
• Interest in working in the Buildings sector and a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support design and coordination of electrical building services across RIBA Stages 1-6.
• Assist with engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications and drawings under guidance.
• Attend design team meetings, site visits and client meetings for multidisciplinary exposure.
• Contribute to design deliverables ensuring compliance with regulations and Stantec procedures.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, public health, sustainability and BIM specialists.
• Develop professional skills through hands-on project experience and CPD.
