Job summary

Arup is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Building Services Engineer in London to join our multi-disciplinary design teams. You will contribute to low energy and low carbon design, HVAC concepts, and decarbonisation strategies from day one.

You will work with Revit and other software to develop systems, conduct site visits, prepare reports, and progress holistic building services designs across diverse projects, supported by a strong early career community.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical, Architectural, or Building Services Engineering (or strong Bachelors)
• Accredited course in IMechE, CIBSE or Engineering Council
• Full working rights in the UK
• No more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role
• Recently graduated or on track to graduate before employment starts

Responsibilities

• Support the development of mechanical design concepts with low energy/low carbon thinking
• Complete HVAC system design
• Use software to analyze and optimize solutions
• Use Revit to develop system designs
• Conduct thermal and Building Regulations modelling with IESVE or similar
• Prepare mark-ups and integrate with the design team
• Contribute to decarbonisation strategies for operational and embodied carbon
• Conduct site visits
• Prepare reports and presentations
• Evaluate new technologies for sustainable, robust designs
