Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our Infrastructure team in Falmer, East Sussex. You will support the water team on Southern Water Framework projects and gain hands-on experience through a 2-year graduate scheme with progression to assistant level, accompanied by a starting salary of £31,000 per annum and potential car allowance.

The role emphasizes design, development and implementation of mechanical systems, with site visits, drawings, specifications and reports,

Qualifications

• Recent graduates sought with a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong interest in mechanical engineering and project management.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, development and implementation of mechanical systems for projects.
• Support preparation of detailed drawings, specifications and reports.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers and contractors to facilitate communication and problem-solving.
• Assist in preparation of technical reports and documentation.
