Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Infrastructure team on the Southern Water project in Falmer, East Sussex. The role forms part of a 2-year programme leading to an assistant-level position with salary potential around £38k.

You will contribute to designs, schedules and site activities, with opportunities for on-site or design-based work and a clear path to progression starting September 2027. A UK driving licence is required and sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

ICE-accredited degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (or closely related)
Graduate in 2027 or within past 3 years
Full UK driving licence
Strong interest in pursuing a civil engineering career in construction
Analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Assist in preparation and management of project designs, plans, and specifications
Support development and monitoring of project schedules and budgets
Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with design specs, safety standards, and quality requirements
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to resolve technical issues and ensure project success
Prepare technical reports, documentation and provide project updates
