Job summary

Kier Group invites applications for a Graduate Process Engineer within our Infrastructure team. Based in Falmer, East Sussex, you will join a 2-year permanent full-time programme in the water sector, starting September 2027, with salary from £31,000 and potential progression to about £38k.

The programme develops technical and professional skills through real projects, labs collaboration, and digital design methods, with benefits including 26 days’ annual leave and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Candidate should have a degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with design and construction initiatives is desirable.
• Familiarity with digital design methodologies is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide process optimisation and advisory services for water and wastewater facilities.
• Oversee and deliver multi-disciplinary projects, acting as Process Designer as assigned.
• Collaborate with laboratories on chemical analysis and with software teams to develop optimisation tools.
• Coordinate cross-disciplinary teams (process, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, ICA).
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and partners on technical, commercial and progress matters.
