Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our Infrastructure team in Falmer, East Sussex. You will support the water team on Southern Water Framework projects and gain hands-on experience through a 2-year graduate scheme with progression to assistant level, accompanied by a starting salary of £31,000 per annum and potential car allowance.

The role emphasizes design, development and implementation of mechanical systems, with site visits, drawings, specifications and reports,

Qualifications

Graduate Mechanical Engineer

Location: Falmer, East Sussex

Starting Salary:£31,000 per annumwith possible car allowance of £4,750 or company car depending on eligibility

Pathway:Permanent, Full-time2-year programme, leading to assistant level role upon completion with salary potential of CIRCA £38k

Starting date:September 2027

What will you be responsible for?

AsaGraduate Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be assisting in the design, development, and implementation of mechanicalsystems for various projects.

Your day to day will include:

• Assisting in the design and development of mechanical systems for projects.


• Supporting the preparation of detailed drawings, specifications, and reports.


• Conducting site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.


• Collaboration with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to facilitate effective communication and problem-solving.
