Job summary

AMA Admin is seeking a Graduate Learning Support Assistant to work in mainstream and SEN schools in Reading. You will mentor pupils aged 5-16, helping them regulate emotions and make positive life choices.

You will use restorative approaches, support small groups, and contribute to safeguarding while gaining specialist training in County Lines prevention and trauma-informed care. Full training provided.

Qualifications

• Graduates in Criminology, Psychology, Youth Work or similar subjects (or those with relevant experience).
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and supporting vulnerable young people.
• Empathy, patience and resilience when managing challenging behaviour.
• Previous experience with at-risk youth is desirable, but full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Use restorative approaches to encourage safe decision-making.
• Provide targeted support in small class groups (4-12 pupils).
• Play a key role in protecting young people from criminal exploitation.
