Job summary

AECOM is hiring a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer and Engineering Geologist in the UK with a focus on soil mechanics, ground investigation and modelling. You will work within a fast-growing Ground Engineering team and gain exposure to high-profile projects.

The role supports professional progression through the GDP and GEO Grounding training, with hybrid work options and hands-on client exposure, developing technical and project delivery skills for early career staff.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology with 2:1 or higher.
• MSc/MEng in Soil Mechanics/Geotechnical Engineering is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Office tools; AutoCAD/Civil 3D desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform desk studies, site inspections and ground surveys.
• Assist with design, planning and procurement of ground investigations.
• Supervise fieldwork and interpret geotechnical data.
• Prepare ground models and reports with geotechnical solutions.
• Utilise 2D/3D software for modelling and analysis.

Education
