Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer and Engineering Geologist for the UK with a 2027 intake. The role is hybrid with the UK offices in London and Aldgate Tower, focused on ground engineering projects across transport, water and energy sectors.

Successful graduates will join the GDP GEO Grounding program and work on desk studies, site inspections, ground investigations, and 3D geological modelling using Openground and Leapfrog.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology with a 2:1 or higher
• MSc/MEng in Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology is advantageous
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD/Civil 3D desirable
• Willingness and ability to work away from home on sites and occasionally in other offices

Responsibilities

• Desk studies, site inspections and geomorphological mapping
• Design, planning and procurement of ground investigations
• Supervision of ground investigation fieldwork
• Geological interpretation and reporting of ground engineering solutions
• Use of software for 3D geological modelling and data management
