Job summary

AECOM is seeking graduates for its Ground Engineering team in the UK, Glasgow. The role covers geotechnical engineering and engineering geology on a variety of projects, with a 2-year GDP and GEO Grounding training path.

Ideal candidates have a Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology degree (2:1) and a willingness to pursue ICE/IOM3 or Geological Society qualifications, in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Geotechnical Engineering and Engineering Geology graduates will work on a range of projects including ground investigations, modelling and reporting.
• Proficiency with MS Office is expected; AutoCAD/Civil 3D desirable.
• Willingness to work towards ICE/IOM3/The Geological Society qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Desk studies, site inspections, rockface surveys and geomorphological mapping.
• Design, planning and procurement of ground investigations; supervise fieldwork.
• Geological interpretation and reporting; development of ground models and geotechnical design solutions.
