Stantec invites applications for a Graduate Geo-Environmental / Geo-Technical Engineer in London or Reading. You will blend fieldwork with office-based consultancy within our Environmental Services team, supporting projects across renewables, defence, commercial, and residential developments.

The role offers strong mentorship, a clear progression plan toward chartered status (CGeol, CEng, CSci, CEnv) with leading professional bodies, and a collaborative culture that backs early-career

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Earth Sciences, or Environmental Science (accredited by a relevant professional body such as The Geological Society, ICE, IES, or CIWEM).
• Unconditional right to live and work in the UK for an indefinite period.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Designing, scoping, and managing site investigations, including on-site supervision, soil and rock logging, and environmental sampling.
• Analysing field data and authoring comprehensive factual and interpretative reports.
• Conducting qualitative and quantitative geo-environmental and geotechnical risk assessments to support site development and remediation.
• Providing expert geo advice throughout the design, planning, and construction phases on multidisciplinary schemes.
