Job summary

Trek Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a global manufacturer in Wrexham to recruit a Graduate Engineer for the Circular Technology Centre. This hands-on role focuses on improving remanufacturing and production processes, supporting automation projects, and working with UK and Japan teams.

We are seeking a strong graduate with a relevant degree, open to placement or up to 2 years of experience. Japanese is a bonus but not essential; on-site work in a factory is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production, Mechatronics, Electrical or Industrial (2:2 minimum).
• Final-year student, new graduate or up to 2 years’ experience.
• Placement, internship or project experience; on-site factory work.

Responsibilities

• Improve manufacturing and remanufacturing processes on a live production site.
• Support automation, tooling and equipment trials from idea through to the line.
• Use data to identify issues in quality, yield, cycle time and waste and help fix them.
• Collaborate with production, quality and maintenance to implement changes.
• Feed shop-floor learning back into process and product design.
• Build a portfolio toward IEng / CEng with real project evidence.

About the role

A global manufacturer is hiring a Graduate Engineer for its Circular Technology Centre in Wrexham.

This is a hands-on manufacturing role. You will improve remanufacturing and production processes, support automation projects, and work with engineering teams in the UK and Japan.

Japanese is useful. It is not essential. We want a strong graduate first.

The job

• Improve manufacturing and remanufacturing processes on a live production site
• Support automation, tooling and equipment trials from idea through to the line
• Use data to find problems in quality, yield, cycle time and waste — then help fix them
• Work with production, quality and maintenance so changes actually stick
• Feed shop-floor learning back into process and product design
• Build a portfolio toward IEng / CEng with real project evidence

What we need

• Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production, Mechatronics, Electrical, Industrial or similar (2:2 minimum)
