Job summary
Stantec offers a 2027 Graduate Programme in Newcastle for a Graduate Electrical Engineer within the Water team, delivering electrical, instrumentation, control and automation solutions across water and wastewater projects.
You will develop hydraulic modelling, GIS analysis and digital tools, contributing to programmes such as DWMP and WINEP, while gaining structured graduate development and opportunities to pursue professional chartership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and interest in the water industry.
- Unconditional right to live and work in the UK.
- Office presence: 4 days per week in Newcastle office.
- Support professional development through structured graduate development and accreditation.
Responsibilities
- Supporting ongoing project work across storm overflows, DWMP, SOAF, WINEP and flooding-related programmes.
- Contributing to model build, analysis, solution development and scenario testing.
- Working with colleagues across engineering, modelling and design teams to coordinate technical inputs and support project delivery.
- Developing understanding of hydraulic modelling, GIS analysis and digital tools used within the water industry.
- Building technical capability through project work, collaboration, training and structured graduate development.
