Job summary

Arup in Leeds is seeking a Graduate Infrastructure Mechanical Engineer to design and consult on essential infrastructure systems across water, energy, and industrial sectors.

You will work alongside disciplines to develop mechanical and piping layouts, perform calculations and modelling, and help improve asset performance with safety and operability in mind.

We expect a relevant degree, strong numeracy and Excel skills, and a willingness to learn; starting date is 1 September 2027.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Strong numeracy and working proficiency in Excel
• Willingness to learn new things

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems of pipework and equipment for essential infrastructure and industry.
• Investigate and understand problems and design challenges.
• Perform calculations, specifications, modelling and layouts.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to develop complex solutions.
• Design for safety and operability of equipment.
