Job summary

Arup is recruiting Graduate Electrical Engineers to join multi-disciplinary design teams across the UK. The role includes an IET accredited training scheme to support you toward professional status and access to extensive training and development opportunities within a supportive network.

You will design power distribution, lighting and protective systems for buildings, work in 3D with Revit MEP and develop technical reports while collaborating with Architects and Fire Engineers to deliver

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical, Architectural, Mechatronics/Robotics, General or Building Services Engineering is preferred; strong Bachelor's will be considered.
• IET, CIBSE or Engineering Council accredited course is desirable.
• Analytical and problem-solving ability; ability to learn 3D design software in a digital automation environment.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution, lighting, fire detection, earthing and lightning protection systems for buildings.
• Perform short circuit, overcurrent coordination and maximum demand studies.
• Create lighting photometric modelling and develop technical reports.
• Work in 3D using Revit MEP and develop reports and electrical calculations.
• Collaborate with Architects and other disciplines to develop integrated designs.
