Job summary

Arup is seeking Graduate Electrical Engineers to join multidisciplinary design teams across the UK. The role includes an IET accredited training scheme and opportunities to work on power, lighting, and fire safety systems in complex building projects.

You will design 3D building services in Revit MEP, write technical reports, and collaborate with architects, fire engineers and other disciplines. A strong engineering background and strong problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical, Architectural, Mechatronics/Robotics or Building Services Engineering is preferred, strong Bachelor's accepted
• IET, CIBSE or Engineering Council accredited course
• Analytical and problem-solving ability
• Proficiency in Excel and Word, and basic knowledge of building services

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution, lighting, fire detection, earthing and lightning protection systems for buildings
• Short circuit, overcurrent coordination and maximum demand studies
• Lighting photometric modelling
• Technical report writing
• Work in 3D using Revit MEP
• Development of reports and electrical calculations
• Working with Architects, Fire Engineers and other disciplines within Arup to develop designs

Education

Master's degree in Electrical, Architectural, Mechatronics/Robotics or Building Services Engineering

IET/CIBSE/Engineering Council accredited course

Analytical and problem-solving ability

Proficiency in Excel and Word
