Job summary

Sweco, Europe’s leading design, engineering, environment and regulatory consultancy, invites applications for the Autumn 2027 cohort of its Early Careers Graduate Scheme. We are seeking Graduate Electrical Engineers to join our Building Services division in the UK.

You will contribute to the design of electrical systems, collaborate with top architects and engineers, and participate in a two-year blended learning program with mentorship and professional development.

Qualifications

• Have a degree relevant to the role you’re applying for.
• Have less than 12 months of relevant work experience (excluding placements).
• Are confident using Microsoft Office and other relevant digital tools.
• Are driven, proactive, and solution-oriented.
• Can work in the UK without restrictions either now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Work as an integral team member on prestigious UK projects with architects and engineers.
• Analyse electrical loads for central plant, lighting and small power.
• Develop high and low voltage electrical infrastructure design.
• Design lighting, small power and fire alarms in coordination with architecture and interior design.
• Attend workshops and meetings with the architect and project team.
• Liaise with manufacturers to stay updated on technologies and applications.
• Write technical reports, design presentations and prepare tender drawings and specifications.
• Use electrical distribution and lighting software and CAD (AutoCAD, Revit).
• Visit construction sites and witness system commissioning.
