Job summary

AECOM in Warrington invites applications for a Graduate Civil-Structural Engineer to join the Nuclear Structures team. You will work on live projects under experienced mentors, contributing to design, analysis and documentation for nuclear facilities.

Expect structured development through the ADVANCE programme, exposure to regulators and Hintegration into a multidisciplinary environment with strong emphasis on safety, quality and professional growth.

Qualifications

• BEng Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• MSc/MEng would be an advantage.
• 2:1 degree classification or above.
• Must demonstrate legal right to work in the UK and meet BPSS requirements.
• Modules related to structures and/or nuclear structures are preferred.
• Strong technical understanding of Structural Engineering.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD/ArcGIS familiarity.
• Full UK driving license; some travel to site may be required.
• Excellent English communication skills; able to present technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural element designs in steel and concrete.
• Undertake analysis of structures.
• Prepare design documentation (basis of design, method statements, specifications).
• Develop understanding of highly regulated industries and Safety Cases.
• Understand risk and prepare designer's risk assessments.
• Coordinate with project team and technicians translating designs into drawings.
