Job summary

AECOM in Warrington invites applicants for an Apprentice Civil & Structural Engineer role in the Nuclear team. You will work with senior engineers, support live projects and prepare design documentation while pursuing a Beng (Hons) in Civil Engineering at university.

The role involves site visits, development of regulatory understanding, and collaboration across disciplines to deliver safe, compliant civil and structural work within a nuclear context.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCSEs as listed and ongoing education toward Civil Engineering.
• Strong maths and science background with interest in nuclear engineering.
• Ability to work on live projects and develop design documentation with guidance.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of consultancy services on nuclear energy projects.
• Assist in analysis and design of structural elements (steel/concrete).
• Prepare design method statements, specifications and technical reports.
• Develop understanding of highly regulated industries and Safety Cases.
• Collaborate with project team to translate designs into drawings.
• Attend University 1 day per week for 4 years for Beng (Hons) Civil Engineering.
