Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Graduate EC&I Engineer to join the Nuclear Team in Warrington. You will work on live projects, developing EC&I designs, and collaborating with senior engineers.

The role includes CAD/BIM deliverables, documentation, and risk assessments, with a structured two-year ADVANCE programme and hybrid working options. You should have an engineering degree (2:1), be eligible to work in the UK, and show interest in nuclear engineering and chartership with IET.

Qualifications

• BEng or MEng in Electrical or Instrumentation and Control
• 2:1 (or equivalent) from an accredited university
• Legal right to work in the UK
• EC&I knowledge and interest in nuclear engineering
• Willingness to work toward IET chartership
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and effective written communication
• Ability to work in teams and independently with initiative

Responsibilities

• Preparation of designs deliverables using CAD and BIM software tools
• Preparation of design documentation; basis of designs, functional/user/procurement requirements and specifications
• Develop understanding of highly regulated industries
• Develop understanding of Safety Cases and supporting documentation
• Develop understanding of Project Management and Project Controls
• Develop understanding of risk and the preparation of designer's risk assessments
• Under supervision, complete site surveys
