Job summary

Stantec in Bristol is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer for its Autumn 2027 Graduate Programme. You will join the Civils team on development and road infrastructure projects, gaining exposure to concept to detail design, site surveys and carbon calculations.

The role focuses on professional accreditation (IEng/CEng with ICE), requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, and offers a supportive, office-based environment, with training, progression toward chartership and a permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Interest in infrastructure and development projects.
• Support to pursue ICE accreditation (IEng/CEng).

Responsibilities

• Assist with concept, preliminary and detailed scheme designs.
• Prepare drawing packages, design reports and technical notes.
• Carry out engineering calculations and 3D design modelling.
• Research new technologies to minimise environmental impact.
• Assist in health and safety risk management.
• Prepare cost estimates and value engineering within constraints.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across disciplines.
• Conduct on-site surveys and carbon emissions calculations.
