Job summary

Amey is offering a Civil Engineer Graduate role in Crawley as part of the CAFA team. You will embark on a two-year pathway with mentoring and a guaranteed permanent position on completion, supporting professional qualification goals.

Starting salary is £30,000 per year, with 37.5 hour weeks and potential weekend site work as overtime. The role develops technical and leadership skills across national railway projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:2 degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Personal Track Safety (PTS) requirement and PTS medical clearance.

Responsibilities

• Undertake numerical analysis and assessment calculations to determine the structural load carrying capacity of a variety of structures.
• Propose strengthening and maintenance options.
• Plan and undertake bridge inspections to confirm structural details and condition.
• Develop innovative solutions to enhance inspection and technical capabilities.
• Prepare technical drawings and reports.
