Job summary

Amey is offering a two-year Graduate Pathway in Cardiff for a Civil Engineer to develop skills through mentoring, structured learning and development. The role leads to a permanent position after completion with the CAFA team and opportunities to contribute to railway structure inspections and analysis.

The starting salary is £30,000 per annum, with a typical 37.5 hour work week and potential weekend overtime. September 2027 start date.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:2 degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Undertake numerical analysis and assessment calculations to determine the structural load carrying capacity of a variety of structures.
• Propose strengthening and maintenance options.
• Plan and undertake bridge inspections to confirm structural details and condition.
• Develop innovative solutions to enhance inspection and technical capabilities.
• Prepare technical drawings and reports.
