Job summary

Amey in York is seeking a Civil Engineer Graduate for our CAFA team based in York. The two-year Graduate Pathway offers mentoring, structured learning and a guaranteed permanent position on completion. A starting salary of £30,000 per annum is provided, with full training support and potential professional qualification.

You will work on inspections, analysis, and reporting, combining site and office duties, with clear routes to progression within Amey.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:2 degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Personal Track Safety (PTS) requirement.
• Applicants must pass a PTS Medical for this role.

Responsibilities

• Undertake numerical analysis and assessment calculations to determine the structural load carrying capacity of a variety of structures.
• Propose strengthening and maintenance options.
• Plan and undertake bridge inspections to confirm structural details and condition.
• Develop innovative solutions to enhance inspection and technical capabilities.
• Prepare technical drawings and reports.
